Tony Coles, Partner Jeffrey Green Russell Tony Coles is a partner in Jeffrey Green Russell's gaming and betting department. He is well-known in the leisure industry for his specialist knowledge of gaming and betting law. He enjoys an international reputation for the strength of his practice. Clients span a range of sizes and sectors and include a number of international household names in the leisure industry. Tony regularly lectures to an international audience on gaming issues and is a frequent contributor to gaming law periodicals and journals. He is currently vice-president of the International Masters of Gaming Law, as well as being a member of the International Association of Gaming Attorneys, the Society for the Study of Gambling and the European Association for the Study of Gambling. He is a respected authority on gaming issues and is the author of the UK section of the well-known 'Internet Gambling Report'. He is also a member of the editorial board of 'Gaming Law Review', for many years was co-chair of the International Symposium on Internet Gambling Law and Management and is a contributor on gambling law to 'Paterson's Licensing Acts'. |

Simon Holiday, Director Simon is a Director at H2 Gambling Capital, which he established during September 2008. H2 Gambling Capital is a specialist consultancy as well as the leading supplier of data and market intelligence regarding the global gambling industry. H2’s data and forecasts have become the industry standard. Simon and his team collect and analyse data for both online and land-based gambling markets, produce forecasts and write material both for the company's publications and on a bespoke basis for clients. H2 have also developed bespoke software to track the activity of value of play on internet gaming sites. During the past decade Mr. Holliday has supplied information or worked with over 500 organisations operating in, supplying to or analysing the gambling industry. Simon is a regular speaker at major international industry/investment conferences and visits major gambling markets on fact-finding trips. He has worked as a consultant in the due diligence and investor education process on many of the industry's major financial transactions during the past seven years. He is a member of the Gerson Lehrman Group network of experts where is ranked in the leading 3%. Previously, Simon was a Partner at GBGC, which he co-founded in 1999. Prior to this time Simon held consulting roles in the broader leisure industry. He is now also working to develop the H2 model in other sectors including sport and computer games. |

Kevin Hopgood, Managing Director - International Development Ladbrokes Plc Kevin Hopgood is a very experienced and knowledgeable operator, having worked in the industry for the past 35 years. As Managing Director - International Development, he has responsibility for Ladbrokes international expansion. Prior to joining the International Division he was Trading Director for Ladbrokes.com and Telephone Betting, where he was responsible for the profitable trading and management of Ladbrokes odds across these two channels. He was Regional Director of Operations for Ladbrokes Retail division, in charge of the operation of Ladbrokes 500 shops in London for a number of years. In between his time in London, he also had a spell as Director of Telephone Betting. He holds a Diploma in Management Studies (with Distinction) from Portsmouth University, a Diploma in Marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Masters in Business Administration from Portsmouth University. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI), a Member of the Institute of Directors (MIOD) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM) as well as being a CIM designated Chartered Marketer. |

Roger Parkes, Head of Regulatory Compliance Betfair Roger Parkes has been involved in the gambling industry for over twenty years. He has been both regulator and operator in the remote and terrestrial sectors in areas including Australasia, Egypt, Greece, Alderney and the UK. He was closely involved in developing the risk-based compliance model for the New Zealand casino regulator which was later adopted by many of the Australian jurisdictions. He has also been involved in the regulatory testing of internet based gaming systems in Australia, Isle of Man and also involved with developing the Alderney remote gaming standards. Immediately prior to joining Betfair, Roger was consulting to the Gambling Commission to assist them in developing the UKs internet gambling regime. Roger joined Betfair in May 2007 where, as Head of Regulatory Compliance, he leads an international team responsible for the compliance of an expanding portfolio of all Betfair’s products around the world. Roger is qualified as a CPP (Certified Protection Professional) through ASIS International and a member of a number of professional security organisations. |

Morten Ronde, Head Legal Advisor Danish Gaming Board Morten Ronde is a Master of Law from Copenhagen University in 1999. He started his career as a legal adviser in the Danish State Lottery the same year. In 2000 he moved to the newly founded Gaming Board to a position as Head Legal Adviser. The Danish Gaming Board is an independent body in the Ministry of Taxation. Morten works with a multitude of regulation and policy issues both domestically and internationally. In his work he is – amongst other things - involved in legislation, EU infringement case and the Ladbrokes civil court case against the Danish State. Internationally he is involved with the European regulatory organization, GREF, Gaming Regulators European Forum, where he holds a position as a member of the Executive Board. |

![]() David Zeffman, Partner Olswang LLP David is a Partner in the Media, Communications and Technology Group and is Head of Gambling and Sport David has extensive experience in providing strategic, commercial and regulatory advice to clients in the gambling, sport and television sectors. He has been involved in many of the major transactions that have taken place in these sectors, including the launch of several television channels and the sale of media rights to some of the world's biggest sporting competitions. David has also advised the Government on the funding of British horseracing. |
